You pay a fraction of the new price for hardware built to last for years - and you keep a working computer out of the waste stream.

What the condition means

Every product states the condition the device is in, and you can filter on it alongside. Broadly: with Refurbished A you will hardly see any signs of use; with Refurbished B there are light marks on the casing that do not affect how it works. In both cases the hardware has been tested and works.

Why a business machine, even second-hand

Consumer laptops are built for a single life cycle. A ThinkPad is not: parts stay available for years, the chassis can be opened, and the hinges, keyboards and batteries can be replaced. That is why a second-hand ThinkPad is a different proposition from a second-hand laptop - and why we repair them ourselves.
